Pueblo Chelles Background
Welcome to Pueblo Chelles, your online store for handmade Native American Jewelry, southwestern jewelry, navajo jewelry, zuni jewelry, and hopi jewelry. Unique, one of a kind items are our specialty and we supply many different Indian tribes handcrafted items designed and skillfully created by Native American silversmiths, such as Hopi silversmiths, Zuni silversmiths and Navajo silversmiths, including Native American designers such as the award-winning Navajo master silversmith, L Bruce Hodgins, whose work is on display in a number of museums such as Sharlot Hall Museum in Prescott, Arizona, the Museum of N. Arizona in Flagstaff, Arizona, the E. Valley Council of Arts in Litchfield, Arizona, the Clark County Museum in Henderson, Nevada and displayed in a permanent collection at the Arizona State Museum in Tucson, Arizona. L Bruce Hodgins’ handmade jewelry has been described as the “Cadillac of Handmade Indian Jewelry”.

We have a fantastic collection of zuni jewelry by well know Zuni artists such as Amy Wesley Quandalacy, and Charlene Dishta, whose artistic jewelry is featured in the well respected zuni jewelry Collectors Redbook (by Theda and Michael Bassman). Our collection of handmade Native American inlay jewelry in silver, sterling silver, turquoise, amber, black onyx, spiny oyster, opal, lapis by well known Navajo artists such as Calvin Begay in designs such as inlay and sterling silver dragonflies, inlay and sterling silver butterflies, inlay and sterling silver geckos or inlay and sterling silver lizards, inlay and sterling silver horses and inlay and sterling silver bears is varied and one of a kind.

One of our favorite artists is Teresa Aenio, a Navajo silversmith and artist who lives north of Gallup, NM. Teresa Aenio, who signs her designs TJ is a talented Navajo artist who uses the Zuni inlay design with a distinctive style creating marvelous inlay creations from sterling silver, coral, black onyx, turquoise, mother of pearl, and gold lip are among the many gemstones that she uses.

The styles and designs of Native American Jewelry have changed much in the last 20 years as many of the native american artists have changed from yesterday’s traditional designs to the contemporary southwestern styles now often seen in the artist’s colonies in Albuqurque and Santa Fe. turquoise from Southwestern mines is now inlaid in gold settings as well as sterling silver. Gemstones such as amber, amethyst, emerald, rose quartz, black onyx, fire opal, opal, Peruvian opal, Brazilian opal, coral, fresh water pearls (both shaped and free-form), beautiful dark green malachite and light green gaspeite, polished jasper from all over the world are used in southwestern jewelry. The use of the orange spiny shell and lavender cebu shell, as well as pink mussellshell, and white mother of pearl in contemporary designs has increased the popularity of the Native American style and designs. The use of various colors of coral, such as the gorgeous apple coral, pink angelskin coral as well as the fantastic dark red coral is used by the native american artists to create magnificent pieces of sterling silver jewelry. While the supply of natural coral has become increasingly scarce, our native american artists and designers still can obtain the authentic real coral and use the coral to create magnificent pieces of southwestern jewellery

The expanding demand for the southwestern jewelry market has increased the number of imitations offered on the Internet. Don’t be fooled by cheap imitations manufactured in the Phillipines, Taiwan and other Asian markets. Pueblo Chelles Southwestern Jewelry provides the American Navajo, Zuni and hopi with a means to market their designs. Most of the American Navajo, Zuni and hopi artists create and sell their artistry as their main source of income. Buying non-American turquoise jewelry is a great disservice to our own Native American people. We supply authentic Native American Jewelry purchased directly from the native american artists. Our prices are kept reasonable, so we can sell more and then purchase more from the actual native american artists.

Pueblo Chelles Southwestern Jewelry has a 100% money back guarantee if you are not pleased with your selection. Pueblo Chelles Southwestern Jewelry also offers a generous 5 year repair policy. We will gladly repair at no charge (you pay shipping back to us) any piece of jewellery or jewelry you purchase from us.

At Pueblo Chelles Southwestern Jewelry, we strive to supply fast delivery of your southwestern jewelry with prompt, courteous service.
